Getting the maximum customer outreach mileage from a Google Virtual Tour should be at the top of the list for any business that makes the investment in this powerful interactive tool that takes marketing photography to new levels of engagement.  The moment the Google Virtual Tour is hosted on your Google Maps Business page, many customers will find it there as soon as they “Google” your business for the first time. But some new and potential repeat customers may be going directly to your web page. This is where you have another golden opportunity to take them inside your business to showcase specific areas.

More and more business owners are taking my advice by adding their Google Virtual Tour to their website.  The Palace Theater in Waterbury stands out as a shining example of my panoramic photography work. It is also an excellent model of marketing with a Google Virtual Tour that shows how any business can take new customers inside from the home page of their website.

The Palace Theater website has a “View Tour” hot link button on the home page.  Clicking on it launches a separate page offering 5 different entry points to this beautiful theater. Each entry point allows the viewer to explore the theater at their own pace in the window selected. Clicking on the “View on Google Maps” link on the virtual tour will create a larger view.  (You can click on this link to see the virtual tour page for Palace Theater )

Every Google Virtual Tour client of Atlantic Vision Media is provided step by step instructions on how to get the “iframe” code for embedding the virtual tour on a website upon publication of the tour to the business Google Maps page. Please contact me if you don’t have a Google Virtual Tour or if your current virtual tour needs to be updated  860-575-9148   tony@atlanticvisionmedia.com

Embed the Virtual Tour on Your Website

The key is finding the black embed code box showing 3 dots that must be accessed by clicking on the map section of the Google Maps billboard page. Scroll down on the left column to find the virtual tour entry points marked with a swirling arrow. Once you click to open a virtual tour entry point you will see the black box that will provide the embed tool. Google virtual tour photography by Atlantic Vision Media CT

Another great way to get the most from your Google Virtual Tour is to grab a scene from the high-quality HDR panoramic images. You can easily take a screenshot of any view that will be useful to your marketing. Google virtual tour photographer CT - Tony Bacewicz Atlantic Vision Media

Crop Favorite Screenshot for Facebook Cover Image

Choose one of the wide views of the interior of your business for a stunning Facebook page cover image. To do this, take the initial screenshot of the whole browser window. This will avoid the virtual tour pointer arrows that pop up when the cursor touches the display window. You can then crop to the image you want.

Sheree Marcucci, Marketing and Public Relations Officer for the Palace Theater sums up the value of their new Google Virtual Tour with these words: “As we continue to employ new marketing opportunities to broaden the Palace brand and reach more customers, the Google Virtual Tour is a perfect tool. By guiding one through the spectacular interior of  the theater proper, as well as the various spaces within, it answers questions about seating options while revealing the beauty of the venue in its entirety ”
